The calculations indicate a reduction of the reinforcement steel up to 30 to 40% when using <span style=\"color: rgb(0, 160, 121);\"><em>Basilisk Healing Agent<\/em><\/span>. The model used for calculations has been validated by a professor at TU- Delft.<\/p>\n<p>The BIO-CONCRETE proposal was submitted to the Horizon 2020 program with the intention of gaining funding to validate the calculations by independent engineering consultants plus implementation of several demonstration projects. The Horizon 2020 &#8211; EIC-Accelerator program is a European grant to support start-ups and SMEs with breakthrough innovations that contribute in one of the European Green Deal goals to scale up.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal gained a high score of 13.45 (out of 15) in the evaluation process. However, due to lack of financial assets, it has not been selected at this moment. Since our proposal passed all evaluation thresholds (13), Basilisk has been awarded with a Seal of Excellence which will help us to have a better chance for future grants within EU.
